The Farlows Cotswold Fieldcoat is one of favourites in the ladies wear collection. It is very practical, fully waterproof and incredibly easy to wear and chic shooting coat. The Cotswold Loden really screams ladies luxury fieldwear. We use only the finest Loden milled out of Austria by one of the oldest Loden mills in existence. It has all the key features you would expect from a ladies shooting coat.

THE PERFORMANCE FABRIC

Our Loden is the finest that comes out of Austria. Milled by Leichtfried, they are one of the oldest producers of Loden there is.
Weighing 540g per running metre it’s a robust yet incredibly wearable tweed.
Comprising of 80% Merino wool and 20% Alpaca to give a soft handle and brilliant drape
This quality of Loden is produced with a brushed finish. This method raises and then brushes the fibres of the fabric once it is milled, which gives the fabric an incredibly hardwearing finish which also gives it excellent natural water repellency. This lovely fabric works hand in hand with our waterproof membrane to make a very technical fieldcoat
